Executive Estate Planner,
Heart Worker
Jean, Highlife’s Executive Estate Planner, is deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of others. Known for her kindness and compassion, she actively supports her community and advocates for the voiceless.
As an Associate Estate Planning Practitioner, Jean obtained her AEPP® certification to provide personalized guidance to clients from all walks of life. Through Highlife’s unique PlanSmart360 Ecosystem, she helps them create meaningful estate plans that align with their hopes, goals, and dreams.
Jean’s passion for helping others is rooted in her extensive background as a professional counsellor. Holding a professional Bachelor’s Degree from Edith Cowan University, Australia, with a Double Major in Applied Counselling and Welfare and Social Work, she spent years working with partnering schools, churches, and family service centers. Jean supported children, families, and adults by addressing complex emotional and practical challenges, including assisting parents with special-needs children and single mothers.
Her counselling experience gave her a unique insight into the deep emotional and financial struggles individuals and families often face. She saw firsthand how financial disputes, lack of planning, or unexpected tragedies could strain relationships and disrupt lives. One poignant case involved a child who lost both parents in a common disaster. Without a will or appointed guardian, the family faced overwhelming financial complications and emotional distress—a situation that deeply resonated with Jean.
These experiences sparked her commitment to bridge the gap between emotional well-being and financial clarity. Jean realized that estate planning is not just about assets; it’s about creating peace of mind, protecting loved ones, and fostering harmony. Her counselling skills enable her to approach estate planning with empathy and a deep understanding of her clients’ personal stories and unique challenges.
Through her work at Highlife Advisory, Jean combines her counselling expertise with estate planning to empower clients to achieve clarity and confidence in the legacy they leave behind. She views her role as a way to help families prepare for the future with compassion, care, and Highlife’s unique Box of Wishes® mechanism.
Jean’s background in social work and counselling has enabled her to recognize that there is a crucial need for more people, regardless of wealth or status, to be aware of estate planning as well as the importance of harmonious assets/estates distribution and planning. She believes that once individuals dedicate themselves to financial education and financial/estate planning, family conflicts can be minimised, marriages and relationships can be better enhanced, and worst-case scenarios can be prevented by ensuring loved ones are well taken care of in their best interests.
Jean is now better able to advocate for important issues in her community. From doing more preventive work and working with estate planning to better assisting clients with their practical needs, Jean’s experience enhances any estate planning process, ensuring that all gaps are well taken care of.
With meticulous planning, heart work, and a clear vision in life, Jean aims to deliver financial confidence and peace of mind to the voiceless, helping every individual, as well as their future generations, realise their hopes, goals and dreams.
Jean is a wife and a mother to three beautiful children. During her free time, Jean enjoys hiking and long walks. She appreciates the little things in life, like fresh air and beautiful scenery. She believes that these are everyday things that we should not take for granted.
