Formerly an investment banker who worked in UOB and ABN AMRO, Fiona dealt with offshore and affluent clients, advising them on their investment portfolios with her BSC Hons in Business Administration. A financial broker for the past 8 years, she joined Highlife Advisory in 2019 to increase her financial knowledge and learn more about how Estate Planning can help her clients. Since then, she has been granted the “Star Award”, “Premier Adviser Award”, and most recently, the internationally recognized “Million Dollar Table Award” in 2022.
Fiona hopes to help her clients achieve financial freedom at their intended age. Thanks to her knowledge and advice, she has allowed a variety of clients to achieve their hopes, goals, and dreams. Clients have realised that Estate Planning with Fiona’s knowledge and suggestions have allowed them to relax and retire earlier, as well as when they approach her for advice on whether they are suitable for any products they have been introduced to. Here, her wealth of experience in the financial industry serves her clients well, especially in the area of investment and retirement planning.
There are also clients who just started working in their 20s with no idea on how to start their financial planning. It has given Fiona tremendous satisfaction and fulfilment when she manages to successfully help them accumulate their first pot of gold through their investments. Journeying from a client’s first investment, to helping them calculate how much to set aside for their property, and lastly, how much to allocate for their legacy, Fiona finds joy in witnessing clients hitting their financial milestones based on the plans they have mapped out together.
Her journey as an adviser has enabled her to understand that Estate Planning is not just about financial planning. Rather, it touches both on the emotional issues clients face and market solutions that they may not have thought about. This is where Fiona comes in with her wealth of knowledge that others may not have access to. For example, she helps parents of children with autism who may be worried about what may happen to their child when they are no longer around, or families who are wondering how their estate can be allocated to avoid any conflicts.
Fiona hopes to continue using Highlife Advisory as a platform to help more people not just financially, but also emotionally.
As a married mother of two young kids aged 7 and 12, Fiona understands the challenge of being a parent and working at the same time. In her free time, she serves as a facilitator in her church to help and guide mothers in her group. The community lets them know that they are not alone in dealing with their struggles and that others are walking through this journey with them, allowing members to learn from and support one another. Fiona also supports Christian ministries in providing help to people battling depression.
